Effectiveness of a Web-Based Application to Monitor Health-Related Quality of Life

A report from the Netherlands on the use of a web-based quality-of-life questionnaires, and how the questionnaire data were used in an pediatric rheumatology encounter. Reference to the measure in the encounter increased discussion of psychosocial topics and physicians’ satisfaction with provided care.

Using Quality Improvement to Optimise Paediatric Discharge Efficiency

Reports a quality-improvement project that used defined discharge criteria and communication techniques within the electronic medical record system to ensure that pediatric patients were discharged within 2 hours of their being physiologically ready.
